River Vision

Our church vision: Living in the Power of the River of God

"Where the river flows everything will live." Ezekiel 47:9

God showed the Prophet Ezekiel a vision of a river of life flowing from the throne of God into the world.  That vision shows us that as God's power flows into our lives, it can turn death into life, tragedy into triumph.  God's river  transforms the salty sinfulness of our heart into fresh water, giving us fruitful joy filled lives.  This is God's promise to us.

What God expects of us is to Jump In to His river of life and go deeper in Him and His ways.

Jesus said, "To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life." Revelation 21:6

It's our desire to be full of God's Holy Spirit to overflow - filled to the rim with His life. It's an adventure of the heart as we experience the power of His river of life.

We invite you - Jump in!

Five Ways to Jump In

an_waterfall5.gifReach our community with the Water of Life Include new people into the church family Venture deeper into knowing God Equip each person with Christ's guiding Truth Release our gifts and callings through teamwork

Purpose 1. To REACH people who don't know God yet and bring them to join us in the River of God.

Jesus said, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, rivers of living water will flow from within him." John 7:37-38

As a church we do this through community service, gifts and care for to the needy, work projects and outreach events like our Fall Carnival.

Purpose 2. To INCLUDE one another as a loving family. We want help people connect with each other and build strong friendships.

Jesus said "new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35

As a church we do this through fellowship events, weekly small groups and classes, and person relationships. Purpose 3. To VENTURE spiritually in our relation with God.  The adventure of knowing God requires our effort to listen and follow the flow of His Spirit.

Jesus replied, '"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment." Matt 22:37-39

As a church we do this by through daily Prayer and Worship. Purpose 4. To EQUIP ourselves for a lifelong journey with the teachings of Christ. The words and example of Jesus are the guiding truths that teach us His ways.

Jesus said,"Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Matthew 7:24

As a church we do this through our classes and training for children, youth and adults. Purpose 5. To RELEASE our personal potential as the Lord leads us to serve as part of the church team.

Jesus said, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

As a church we do each person getting involved where they best fit according to our passion, talents, and spiritual gifts.
