You'll have a sense of stability and security knowing there are people who really care about you and are committed to standing with you. 2. You will understand the Bible better. In a group discussion you can ask questions and personalize what you are studying. You can take what you hear in the weekend services and personally apply it to your life. In a small group, you can go deeper into the text and hear insights from others and illustrations of truth. 3. Prayer becomes more meaningful to you. Many are hesitant to pray in front of others, especially in a church service. In a small group you can learn to participate in prayer by having a conversation together with God. No one is pressured to pray, but as you become comfortable, you'll be able to join in. There are many promises in the Bible related to group prayer.
